Beltane Blessings

Beltane Belssings to you all my loves.

Traditionally celebrated on the 1st May by pagan and gaelics, this turn of the wheel highlights the half way point between Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice.

Its a time to welcome the first signs of Summer, to call in fertility, abundance, power and step back into your creativity.

Fire is the element of Beltane, and many traditions include making bonfires representing the return of the warmth of the sun, protection and prosperity.

Dancing and weaving around a maypole is something I remember seeing at my old primary schools festivals, flowers in hair, laughing, feeling the energy of joy. This tradition is deeply rooted in unity and good will and symbolises the community coming together in harmony.

And also decorating homes and doors with flowers and greenary welcomed the fertilty of the land and protection for your home and well being.

Remember that you don't need to be big with your Rituals to call in the magic of Beltane. As always with me, simple and intentional can be even more powerful.

A few ritauls ideas from me.

Light candles and Incense to symbolise the sacred Beltane fires, tell the flame your beltane wishes.

Take a mindful walk, noticing the sun light, the lands and the sounds.

Nature is awakening.

Enjoy fresh flowers in your home or create a little altar with things that represent your manifestations and desires.

These small intimate rituals will awaken your spirit, and honour the wisdom from our ancestors before us.

Some journal prompts to Inspire and Ignite

  • How does Beltane feel in your body?

  • What relationship or community do I wish to strengthen?

  • What old stories or habits do I need to let go of?

  • What Beltane Wishes do I wsh to call in for myself

As always let your pen flow, no judgements or criticisms.

I am having the joy of writing this to you from Tuscany surrounded by gorgeous land and the loudest singing birds. I am so excited to welcome all of our guests today to this magnificent house and celebrate Beltane with them.

So for now my loves, all the Beltane love to you all.

And if you need me, reach out.
